Emerging Into Light

Emerging Into Light is an illuminating and encouraging showcase of 28 works of paintings, drawings and prints that were created or inspired through the Fine Arts Program of the Canadian Mental Health Association.

‘The Fine Art course has provided an extraordinary opportunity for those participants who may never have thought it possible to create original art,’ says Valerie Kurck. ‘The course also assisted participants with an artistic background to further their skill level while motivating them to continue with art outside of the classroom.’

Valerie developed this program several years ago integrating her knowledge of fine arts and art therapy to run eight-week long art classes in Owen Sound, Kincardine, Hanover, Markdale and Wiarton.

We are very pleased to collaborate with the Canadian Mental Health Association in Owen Sound for this exhibition.
